This month I am offering a one day Saturday class, January 28th 11am to 5pm. I've already got 3 maybe 4 couples and will only take probably 2 more so if you are interested please contact me! (danielle4birth@gmail.com). I don't intend to offer these one day classes very often, I really believe you get so much more out of the full series of classes, but I've had a couple of people who live too far from anyone offering a full class and a couple who are too close to their due date to make it thru a series so I decided to do this one now. So if anyone out there is looking for an opportunity like this, drop me a line. :)

Why Take Childbirth Classes?

The classes are fun, active gatherings, offering information and practical guidance on staying comfortable and low risk during pregnancy, understanding and optimizing the natural process, and empowering your birth partner to take an active role in supporting you in labor.

Classes will teach you how to stay healthy throughout your pregnancy and to prepare your body for the big day. You will learn how to work as a team, so you can cope with the sensations of labor. You will also be well educated about common medications and procedures so that you can make informed choices.

My classes include:
• Natural methods of pain management
• Safe, effective comfort techniques
• How your partner can be an active participant
• Pregnancy exercises and nutrition
• Stages of labor and birth
• Writing your birth plan
• Breastfeeding
• Complications and interventions
• Postpartum care
• Newborn care
• Optimal Fetal Positioning
• Choosing the care provider, birth place, and support partners that work for you
• And much, much more!

Each series consists of either 8 (3 hrs) or 10 (2.5 hrs) classes. There will be instructional videos, games, snacks and great conversation with other expectant couple. We have small classes to facilitate more personal attention and you will have access to a lending library and phone and email support.

Current Schedule and Fees

Classes are held on weeknights at my home in South Jordan just off Bangerter and 104th South. Space is limited to 8 couples. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact me as early as possible to complete your registration.

Class series starting:
Thurs Dec 1st 6:30-9:30pm

Current Fees & Terms
Total fee: $300
A nonrefundable deposit of $50 is due upon registration to hold your space in class. The balance of $250 is due on the first night of class, unless other arrangements have been made.

If you need to pay in installments, I am happy to make arrangements with you, just let me know upon enrolling in class.

Refer a friend and you both get a $50 discount.

If you have a hardship or special situation, please call me and we can discuss alternative arrangements~ I don’t want to turn anyone away if you are truly committed to becoming informed and empowered and the cost would prevent you from taking a birth class.

Well, what is there to tell..
My name is Danielle Christensen.
I am married to the most silly, supportive and wonderful computer nerd out there.
We have two beautiful girls that I gave birth to naturally. One at a birth center and one at home.
I am a childbirth educator

After taking a comprehensive childbirth class with my first pregnancy I learned so much, and became fascinated with all things birth. I was so amazed by how much information there was out there that isn't common knowledge about birth, and the options that women have.

I believe that every woman has the right to know all the information out there, and then to make the decision that is the best for her. I decided to become a Childbirth Educator to empower women to make the best decisions for them and their baby.
